While maintaining busy lives and balancing multiple roles that may include parenting, maintaining various relationships, taking care of others, and working both within and outside the home, many women may put their own preventative health care on hold.
Women may not obtain their own preventative health checks in order to pay for other expenses, such as their children’s and other family members’ health care.
Women may also face a lack of eligibility for insurance or Medicare and may lack transportation or money to pay for gasoline to drive to health care appointments.
The Women’s Wellness Program at Wyoming Migrant Health assists women who are uninsured, undersinsured, or are not able to pay for their annual health screening to ensure that they receive this important preventative health care service.
Any woman who is uninsured or underinsured and cannot afford to pay for their annual exam(s).
