This workshop will:
Teach and reinforce activities that can be used in community groups, classrooms and other arenas with youth.

Discuss what Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) data is telling us about our youth locally…and nationally.

Look at curricula that have been approved for use in Wyoming; Becoming a Responsible Teen (BART), Focus on Kids, Can We Talk?

Look at the differences between Comprehensive Sexuality Education and
Abstinence Only Education (and everything in between) – to help gauge where your district is and where it could go.

Workshop is FREE!!!
Lunch and Materials Provided
PTSB, Nursing, and Mental Health
Credits Provided

Who should attend?
Counselors, nurses, teachers, parents, administrators, community members, students.

Who are the trainers?
Sandy Birkholz, M.A., WDE Master Trainer and Sheridan Jr. High Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher, Gay Hughes, WDE Master Trainer and Riverton High School Health Coordinator, and Tara Chandler, WDE Master Trainer and Educator.
